On Monday morning, June 13th, UWTeach welcomed its second cohort to the program. Fifty-eight energetic students were greeted by the program coordinator Joey Anderson-Lubasi as well as by other faculty, instructors, and graduate-student supervisors. The room in Union South was packed, and the new students were clearly excited about getting started. The new group includes students from as far away as Las Cruces, New Mexico and Durham, New Hampshire who are joining all those hailing from Wisconsin. Thirty-five of the new students are former UW alums. These individuals bring in backgrounds from areas such as English, history, philosophy, art history on the humanities side to applied mathematics, industrial and mechanical engineering, and chemistry on the science side of things. We even have students who have backgrounds in international affairs, urban studies, and public policy. We're glad to have everyone here. It will definitely be an exciting 14 months!
